Design, manufacture and commissioning supervision of the hydraulic drive station for drawing mill 150 VS 150-00.000
Modernized hydraulic station for driving the pusher and the pipe-clamping hydraulic cylinders
The hydraulic drive station for drawing mill 150 VS150-00.000 is a modernized version of the existing hydraulic station driving the pusher and the pipe-clamping hydraulic cylinders of drawing mill 150.
Unlike the station previously in operation at the plant, it has separate hydraulic drives for the pusher and for pipe clamping, and is designed to work as part of drawing mill 150 within the existing process cycle. It can be installed in addition to the existing station or as its replacement.
Design Description
The hydraulic drive station is mounted on a welded frame, which serves as the base for the tank and, on both sides of it, the pump units with control panels.
The tank consists of a lower and an upper compartment. Working fluid is drawn from the lower (suction) compartment, while it is discharged into the upper (receiving) compartment, from where it flows by gravity into the lower compartment.
Pump supply pipelines, which can be shut off or opened by ball valves, are fixed at the end of the lower compartment on the pump side. The pump discharge (pressure) pipelines are connected to the control panels, which house and integrate all elements of the hydraulic drive station’s schematic diagram.
Station Parameters
Result
Uninterrupted operation of the drawing mill has been ensured, equipment maintainability has been improved, and downtime has been reduced. The station is successfully operating as part of the production line.
